The unique audio-visual show “Tsarevets - Sound and Lightis” is the only one of its kind sound and light show on the whole Balkan Peninsula. The show recreates in sound and light the history of Veliko Tarnovo - since the establishment of the First Bulgarian Kingdom, the fall under Byzantine slavery, the Uprising of Assen and Peter, the restoration of the Second Bulgarian Kingdom, the Siege of Tarnovo and Tsarevets – the fortress of the Bulgarian tsars and patriarchs , the fall under Ottoman rule, the epic struggle of the rebels and uprisings, the Velchova conspiracy, the Russian-Turkish liberation war, the foundation of the Third Bulgarian State.
   All these moments are expressed by virtue of the light and matchless sound. The whole show lasts about 20 minutes, during which it seems you rush through the ages.
